Damn Americans with your "drive alone right away" BULLSHIT. I had to wait 8 LOOOOOOOoONG months to get my G2 (all explained here Ontario Licensing, just read G1 and G2) and I STILL don't have a full license. Canada is balls.

Yes, but when you get to be an old man like me, you start to say "kids get their license too early". Not a month goes by when a car load of teens dies in a wreck around here. Sure everyone makes mistakes, but sometimes a car load of kids, inexperience and excessive speed are dangerous combinations.

See...I'm an old man with a statement like that. :D The point being, Canada is probably wise in it's approach to licensing.

True that. Doesn't seem to help a ton though either. Two weeks in a row there have been car wrecks here with teenagers in the car and a teen driving, both multiple fatalities.

There should really be some 'undercover' screening before people get their license. Or even put those computers in the car that record all the data of driving habits (average acceleration, RPM, or even how often traction control kicks in). It would cost millions of dollars, but it would save lives.

I've been involved in minor street racing (not me driving, me passenger, my cruiser would blow everyone away;)) and know that the shit is stupid. The lengths new drivers go to to look 'cool' is what kills them, and their passengers.

takes on average like 3 tries in poland to get ur driving license, in germany i believe it takes 5, it aint no easy as test like here in the US, they are awfully strict and even if u are good, they simply wont pass u cuz u dont have enough experience

I got mine about 1 month ago. I dont have a car but i use my parents' van.
