Last wednesday there was a fire in my school (I KNOW! EVERY CHILDS DREAM, RIGHT!) and up until today they weren't sure if there would be any school cancellations. Word came in and I've got a projected 4 MORE days off (I've been off since January 21st.)
I know there was a thread a while back talking about all of the odd and farfetched school and work cancellations, but I think this tops them all off (as far as anyone of us have experienced).
So instead of the traditional "SNOW DAY!" or "ICE DAY!", I can now add "SEVERE FIRE, SMOKE AND WATER DAMAGE DAY!"
