Ok guys a while back Beckers posted a fun video called ode to wolf ET on the forums.

I propose we set up a time where we all get on the server and make one of our own.
reasons:
1: we are funnier than they are.
2: we can use it as a intro for people unfamiliar to the clan.
3: we can watch it repeatedly and say that was me!
4: most importantly it will be a bunch of fun.

okay, if we've got some people in here, what kind of stuff could we do?

Maybe something with movie lines - since that is a big part of our server now. We could reenact some movie scenes et style and then use the actual movie quotes for the soundtrack!? Not saying it would be the sounds we have now, it could even be longer movie scenes (25-30) seconds.

We could also do some lampooning of shit that really bothers us in ET: for example - lets say we've got three guys dead waiting to be revived. A medic walks up and all the guys start calling for him, but instead of reviving, he tries to kill the enemy player and ends up stepping on a mine or something gibbing everyone. That would be funny.


How about a guy trying to call arty far away, and someone steps in his way and he ends up calling it on his own spawn area causing a huge team multikill.


Allagor's got a good idea with playdead - maybe we could do some zombie shit or something, IDK........I'm sure we can find some wicked custom zombie skins that someone made.

We could also do a compilation of gory death scenes with the gibs and showblood on - guys getting panzered, nades going off with a bunch of people standing on them, etc...etc...etc....

....I don't know, shit like that :lol:.....

i think we could do better dialog on ts/vent.. that would def be something that would force me on there again :D

Oh - funny idea --- a take on the old Nintendo Duck Hunt game. Would be hard to pull off but would be hilarious: Find a map with high grass area - like radar I guess where a bunch of allies (7 or 8 ) are proning in the grass and can't be seen. The camera could be at an angle where an axis player is looking toward the field. One by one, someone runs a !fling command causing the allied guys to suddenly shoot up in the air and the axis guy tries shooting at them. I'm sure we can find some duck hunt sound effects and music to cap it all off :D

I think it could be a combination of all that stuff - doesn't have to be all movie scenes, but if there are few short ones that are funny that we could do, put them in there. Whatever strikes our fancy :)

Oh, and I count 5 ideas in that post, so I'm not sure which ones you are specifically referring to as 'meh' or good :)

I got my NES with a bunch of old favorites (ie. Duckhunt/supermario) plugged into my TV I could potentially record stuff off that somehow.

Movies sound fun could do like a bunch of will smith, and will Farrell like stuff.

well i said meh to the sound bite idea.. all the other ones are good .. the duck hunt one is great too.

I'm thinking this is going to be a work in progress kind of thing - we get on some night, f around and get some recordings of us doing something specific then come back next week with a new plan and even different people or w/e. That way, we don't feel like we gotta cram this all into one night - I'm thinking to do this right, its gonna take many many many nights, perhaps a few hours each time to organize, get on TS and do the actions we decide for that night. Then we have a bunch of raw video that can be edited with sound to make the actual movie. I can do that part.

I like the idea of the closing credits having everyone who participated play whatever side/class they want in the game and we could do some cinematic thing that features their in-game persona.

If anyone has ever seen the movie Snatch - I love the beginning of that movie where each character is introduced with like a 3 second vid clip that freezes and then shows their name. That would be the Shit!

I would have to be the mortar for my credit, need to edit it a piece like I'm shooting orward but get hit from behind that sort of thing. :P

I think the best nights would prolly be thursdays. seems to be the night we get a lot of people other than fridays. or we could just get a bunch of recordings of when we play as well. (don't forget spectator cams too)
